Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker & Executive Function Coach
Carly Loureiro is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker providing psychotherapy to individuals and families, as well as executive function coaching to clients 14 and older. Mrs. Loureiro also offers parent coaching and school consultation services, in order to help support the social and emotional growth of her clients across various environments. A former school adjustment counselor, Mrs. Loureiro has extensive experience working with students with disabilities and mental health challenges. Whether she’s providing executive function coaching, psychotherapy, or parent coaching, Mrs. Loureiro uses a strengths-based approach to help her clients believe in their full potential. She’s passionate about helping her clients learn new lifelong skills, and celebrates the progress they make along the way.
Mrs. Loureiro has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Vermont and a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from Simmons University. Mrs. Loureiro’s experience has been centered around supporting individuals with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, anxiety, depression and self esteem issues. In her work as a psychotherapist, Mrs. Loureiro utilizes interventions such as psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and structural family therapy. Her approach is down-to-earth, compassionate and empathetic. Building strong relationships with her clients is always a top priority as she knows that progress stems from a safe and nurturing relationship between therapist/coach and client.
Mrs. Loureiro is an affirming provider for gay, queer, nonbinary and trans individuals and has a wealth of experience working with diverse youth and adults. During her early career, she worked internationally in Thailand, teaching students who were English Language Learners. She has also provided individual in-home therapeutic services for students and their caretakers and has wide-ranging experience as an executive function coach for students and adults, often contending with both learning and mental health difficulties.
During her free time, Mrs. Loureiro enjoys volunteering at her local animal shelter, going on hikes with her husband and dogs Sky and Remi, and searching for Rhode Island’s best gluten-free pizza. She looks forward to creating meaningful connections with her clients and supporting their growth.
