Becki Lauzon, M.A., CRC, works with teens, young adults and their families out of the Newton, MA and Plainville, MA offices. Lauzon brings her expertise and passion for creatively helping young people as well as their school teams and families through the transition process to NESCA.
Lauzon has unparalleled experience as a Transition Specialist, Transition Consultant and Vocational Program Coordinator, having worked for more than a decade with the ACCEPT Education Collaborative, building and overseeing groundbreaking transition programs for transition-aged students, and consulting and conducting evaluations for students and school districts throughout Massachusetts. In addition, Lauzon has been an Adjunct Professor in the Human Services and Rehabilitation Services Department at Assumption College for nearly six years. Previously, she worked as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor at Programs for People and Job Coach at Westborough High School. Lauzon earned her Bachelors and Master’s degrees at Assumption College. She is a certified rehabilitation counselor and holds the state transition specialist endorsement.
At NESCA, Lauzon will be aiding adolescents and young adults in the development of the skills necessary not only to function but thrive independently in the post-secondary school, workplace, community and home settings. Lauzon will be providing transition assessment (including testing, functional evaluations and observations) consultation, case management, training and professional development for schools; and transition planning, consultation and coaching for transition-aged students and their parents.
