We are looking for a Billing Assistant who wants to be part of a quick-thinking, motivated, and collaborative administrative team that works hard to meet the demands of each fast-paced day at NESCA and the widely varying needs of clients and clinical staff.

Our team currently includes 25 master’s- and doctorate-level clinicians and 6 administrative staff, offering neuropsychological evaluations, both domestic and international, psychological testing, postsecondary transition services, occupational therapy services, speech language therapy, educational consultation, psychoeducational counseling and integrative treatment services, such as personal & social coaching and yoga. Job Description

  • Request, follow up, and secure prior-authorizations prior to services being performed using insurers’ online portals
  • Submit insurance paperwork online to processing company for electronic claims submission
  • Review Outlook Calendars to Create weekly billing spreadsheet for coaching team
  • Contact customers with overdue accounts to collect payments
  • Contact customers to update credit card information when credit cards decline

Qualifications and Skills

  • Ability to manage varied tasks seamlessly and cheerfully
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and other applications, etc. and developing reports from these apps
  • Data input – high level of accuracy required.
  • Adapt to insurance company online data processing systems and portals, with self-directed online training tools.
  • Data management skills; (electronic and hard copy) standard customer data files set-up and management
  • Associate degree minimum. Bachelor’s preferred
  • 2 years of insurance processing experience
  • Proven track record of excellent communication and time management skills

Job Type: Part-time/hourly

Salary: $18.00 – $21.00 per hour
