Michelle Butterworth, M.Ed.

Per Diem Real-life Skills and Executive Function Coach

Michelle is a certified special education teacher and administrator with over 20 years of experience and multiple educator certifications. Throughout her career, Michelle has worked with students with complex learning challenges. Her primary focus has been supporting students diagnosed with language-based learning disabilities (LBLDs), mental health disorders and executive functioning (EF) difficulties however Michelle also has experience supporting students with developmental disabilities.

Michelle has studied Counseling Psychology at the graduate level and has received a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Endicott College. She has completed additional graduate work focused on transition planning, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and trauma.

The combination of Michelle’s clinical and educational background has allowed her to work with students using a “whole child” approach. Additionally, Michelle has taught graduate level classes focusing on adolescent psychology and language-based reading instruction. She uses all of her varied experience to build strong relationships with the students she coaches, which she believes are paramount to success.
