Pediatric Neuropsychologist
Dr. Leah Weinberg specializes in conducting neuropsychological evaluations tailored to the needs of the individual patient. Dr. Weinberg works with children and adolescents living with ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, nonverbal learning disabilities, language-based disabilities, specific learning disabilities, and other neurodevelopmental disorders.
Dr. Weinberg earned her Master’s, Advanced Certificate and Doctoral degrees in school psychology from Fordham University. She completed a one-year, pre-doctoral internship in a school in New York. Dr. Weinberg worked for a number of years as a New York certified school psychologist, delivering services including psychoeducational evaluations, counseling and preventative services, and consultation to students, faculty, and administration personnel. Once she received her doctorate, she completed a post-doctoral, neuropsychology fellowship at a group practice in the Boston area and subsequently joined their clinical staff, remaining there for 11 years.
Collectively, Dr. Weinberg’s training and experience in school psychology and neuropsychology have allowed her to develop a comprehensive understanding of the ways in which an individual’s attributes interact with environmental variables to shape their functioning. In the same fashion, she has developed expertise in generating appropriate and effective recommendations targeting children’s and adolescents’ educational, social-emotional, and behavioral needs across environments. She has worked with children of different ages, ranging from preschool through high school, with a variety of academic, social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties. Dr. Weinberg has experience conducting neuropsychological evaluations of children and adolescents with a broad range of presentations, including autism spectrum disorder, learning challenges, ADHD and other executive functioning difficulties, nonverbal learning disorder, and social/emotional concerns.
Dr. Weinberg is bilingual in Russian and has working knowledge in Hebrew.
In her free time, she enjoys baking, listening to music and spending time with her family.
