Real-life Skills Coach; Occupational Therapist
Sophie earned her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy from the MGH Institute of Health Professions and Bachelor’s degrees in Exercise Science and Dance from SUNY the College at Brockport. She is certified through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and is a licensed and certified occupational therapist in Massachusetts. In addition to her occupational therapy certifications, she is an ACSM-certified Exercise Physiologist, Pilates instructor, and dance educator.
Sophie’s clinical experience includes inpatient rehabilitation, community-based pediatrics, and inpatient mental health settings. She has experience working with young people with a variety of diagnoses, including ASD, ADHD, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and mental health conditions including depression, generalized anxiety disorder, and bipolar disorder. Sophie’s occupational therapy expertise includes addressing fine motor coordination, emotional regulation, functional cognition, activities of daily living, coping strategies, and sensory regulation.
Sophie’s occupational therapy approach is profoundly collaborative, and rooted in occupational justice. She values neurodiversity affirming, client-centered, and trauma informed care. She is excited to help young adults achieve goals that are meaningful to them.
