Miami is a fast-growing region in which access to quality neuropsychological evaluations is limited because there are too few private practices and long waiting lists in the hospitals that conduct evaluations. Thirty years ago, the situation was similar in Boston. A colleague and I left Boston Children’s Hospital to start the first private neuropsychology practice that was focused on integrating with the educational system, providing parents and teachers with easy-to-understand, actionable recommendations to support the academic and social-emotional development of the children we evaluated. Ten years later, I started NESCA, with the mission of providing the highest quality evaluation and treatment services to families in a compassionate, caring way. Our mission statement is to “provide the care for other people’s children that we want for our own,” and we live that out every day.
In addition to serving Miami and South Florida families, we are also providing international evaluations for families from Latin America and the Caribbean, and are proud of the relationships that we are developing with international schools in Central America.
We are excited to be bringing our gold standard of care to the Miami region!
